A Great Destination for Educators

Results-Driven Environment

Our six campuses are proud to be among the highest performing public schools in Oakland and Richmond with school-wide decisions driven by data and proven practices.

Culture of High Expectations
We set the bar high and hold it high. Student achievement drives every decision we make, so you'll find a rigorous learning environment in every school campus and classroom. We use data benchmarking to set individualized student goals and learning plans, so that each student can reach their highest potential.
The Team Approach
We support, encourage, assist, and hold each other accountable as a team. AMPS provides a clear, consistent approach to instruction and classroom management, resulting in more learning time and a positive school culture

Comprehensive Benefits PackageĀ

We provide 100% full-coverage for medical, dental, and vision benefits for full-time employees and pre-tax options for un-reimbursed medical expenses and/or dependent medical care. In addition, we also provide life insurance and long-term disability insurance.

For those commuting to work, we provide pre-tax options for employees who use mass transit and mass transit parking to help save on costs during the year.

Coordinated Pathway to Success

Here at AMPS, we have created a process called the AMPS Career Path that is a comprehensive talent development system that allows our teachers to advance professionally and increase their salary based on a comprehensive portfolio that demonstrates their effectiveness and impact.

Commitment to Professional Development

AMPS believes in a growth mindset and continuously developing our people. We begin each year with an all-staff week-long training at our Annual AMPS Summit. In addition, our teachers are provided with ongoing, individualized opportunities throughout the year to further their teaching and leadership skills.

Invested in your Future

AMPS invests in its employees by offering them a 401(k) with company matching.

BTSA Reimbursement

BTSA is the Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Program established by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the California Department of Education. AMPS provides tuition reimbursement to assist with the costs of the BTSA program.

Tutor to Teacher Program

If you are considering a career in education and have a Bachelors degree, our unique tutor to teacher program is a great option. Our full-time tutors receive a salary, assistance with obtaining their teaching credential, and have the opportunity to experience the classroom before becoming an AMPS teacher.

One-on-One Housing Assistance

If you are relocating to the East Bay to work at an AMPS school, our Human Resources department will personally help you locate housing to ensure a smooth transition.

An Organization That Gives Back

We believe in giving back to the communities that we work and live in. Here at AMPS, we provide volunteer opportunities for all of our students, teachers, and leaders across Richmond and Oakland.
